The prompt describes what the AI sees in your image: the main subject, setting, composition, colors, lighting, mood, style and perspective. You can format it for ChatGPT, MidJourney, Flux or Stable Diffusion, or keep it general so it works in any tool.
It helps when you like the look of an image and want something in the same spirit, or when you know the style you want but can’t put it into words. It can also keep a blog’s featured images consistent if you start each one from the same reference image.
How to use the Image to Prompt Generator
Step 1: Upload your image
Drag an image into the upload box or click Browse. The tool accepts PNG, JPG and WebP files, one image per run.
Step 2: Choose a platform
Pick the image generator you’ll paste the prompt into. If you use more than one, or yours isn’t listed, leave it on General (for all platforms).
Step 3: Adjust the optional settings
Tone & Writing Style and Language sit below the platform menu. Click Additional Instructions & Creativity to add your own directions or change how varied the wording is. All of these are optional.
Step 4: Click Generate and copy your prompt
The prompt appears as it’s written. Copy it into your image generator, or click Edit & run again to change a setting and run the same image a second time.
On paid plans, the Tools menu under the result includes Generate Image with AI. It opens RightBlogger’s AI Image Generator with your new prompt already filled in.
What each setting does
Upload an Image
This is the only required field. Before the AI looks at your picture, the tool scales it to fit within 1,024 by 1,024 pixels. Large files work fine, but tiny text and fine detail can get lost in the process.
Platform
Choosing a named platform tells the AI to format the prompt for that tool. General skips that step and gives you a plain, detailed description you can adapt anywhere. The options are:
- General (for all platforms), the default
- ChatGPT
- MidJourney
- Flux
- Stable Diffusion
Tone & Writing Style
Changes the wording of the prompt using one of 16 tone presets or a custom MyTone style. For a prompt headed straight into an image generator, Default is usually the right choice. Strong tones like Fun & Quirky can add phrasing about voice rather than about the picture.
Language
Writes the prompt in the language you pick, from more than 100 options. It starts on English (US), and you can also choose UK, Canadian or Australian English.
Additional Instructions
Extra directions the AI follows while it writes. This is the best way to steer the description when you want something close to your image but not identical. A few examples:
- “Ignore the text on the sign in the background.”
- “Describe the scene as a watercolor painting instead of a photo.”
- “Focus on the lighting and color palette, not the people.”
- “Keep the prompt under 60 words.”
Creativity
A slider that runs from Least creative to Most creative, with Standard Creativity in the middle as the default. Lower settings give more predictable wording. Higher settings add variety, which is handy when you want a few different takes on the same image.
What goes into the prompt, and how to change each part
The tool asks the AI to cover the same ground for every image. Once you know the parts, it’s easier to edit the result by hand or to steer it with Additional Instructions on the next run.

Tips for better results
- Crop before you upload. Because the image is scaled down first, a busy wide shot gets a broad description. A tight crop puts the detail where you want it.
- Convert other file types first. HEIC photos from an iPhone, GIFs and SVGs won’t upload, so export them as PNG, JPG or WebP.
- Expect a similar image, not a copy. Image generators interpret prompts, so the same prompt can give different results each time. Generate a few and keep the closest.
- Check the shape separately. If the original’s proportions matter, set the aspect ratio in your image generator. The AI Image Generator has an Aspect Ratio setting for this.
