You’ll be adding a lot of your own tone and personality as you record your video, so you might well be happy to stick with the “Default” tone and style option here.

If you want something a little different, there are 20 preset tones & styles to choose from, like “Casual”, “Fun & Quirky”, “Professional”, and “Persuasive”. Just pick one that suits you from the dropdown list. 

Step 3. Select the Language for Your Outline (Optional)

If you’re recording in a language other than English, you’ll probably want your outline to be in that language, too. RightBlogger supports over 100 different languages. Just click the dropdown list and scroll down or search for your preferred language.

Having a great script in hand is a huge step toward being ready to record … but there are some other crucial things you need to do too!

Here’s my personal checklist for making sure you’re set up to record a high-quality video.

1. Let family members (or anyone who lives with you) know that you’ll be recording—ask them not to interrupt
2. Soundproof your room as much as you can, e.g. by shutting the door and windows
3. Close any tabs or apps on your computer that you don’t need for the recording
4. Take a look at what your camera is seeing: do you need to clear any clutter from your room or adjust the camera?
5. Adjust your lighting if you need to, e.g. by turning on extra lights or positioning a ring light in front of you
6. Make sure your mic is working well (before you start recording!)
7. Have your slideshow or any props ready to go
8. Go through a few simple vocal warmups to make sure your voice is strong
9. Turn off anything that might make a noise and put your phone on silent/airplane mode
10. Record a very short test video to be sure your recording software is working fine
11. As you begin the actual video, allow a few seconds of silence at the start (helpful for removing ambient noise when editing)
12. Just before you begin on your script, double-check that you pressed record!

To get the most from it and produce the high-quality content you need, it’s helpful to know how to take advantage of its different features. Let’s dig into those, including the advanced options. 

1. Video Title/Topic (Be Clear and Specific)

First, you’ll need to give the AI the title or topic of your video. While the script outline generator will do its best with a vague topic, you’re more likely to get the results you want if you’re specific.

For instance, “Europe Vacations” is a bit vague. “Top 10 European Vacation Destinations for Families With Young Kids” is much better.

Tip: Struggling to narrow down your topic? Run the tool with your broad topic, then pick a specific subheading from the outline to run through the tool again. E.g. when we went with “Europe Vacations”, the first section was on “Why Visit Europe?” which could make a good topic.

2. Tone & Writing Style (Make Your Outline Sound Like You)

Hopefully, you’ll be adding plenty of your personality and brand during the actual recording—but if you want your outline to match your style and vibe, then choose a suitable option from the Tone & Writing Style dropdown.

Here’s a quick look at the difference tone can make. We used the title “Top 10 European Vacation Destinations for Families With Young Kids”. 

“Professional” tone:

Introduction

• Start with a warm, friendly greeting.
• Mention how traveling with kids can be fun but requires planning.
• Tease the list: “We’ve gathered ten amazing places in Europe your whole family will love!”
• Briefly explain the focus: child-friendly attractions, ease of travel, and family-oriented activities.

“Fun & Quirky” tone:

Intro (30-45 seconds)

• Start with a fun question: “Planning a European trip but worried about keeping those tiny humans entertained? I got you!”
• Briefly explain the video: “I’ll show you 10 awesome spots in Europe perfect for families with young kids. Think less stress, more memories!”
• Tease the #1 destination: “Stick around for the top spot—it’s got castles and ice cream. A double win!”

3. Language (Great for Non-English / Multilingual Channels)

If you’re recording videos in a language other than US English, go ahead and select your language from this dropdown. Your script will be automatically created in the language of your choice.

4. Keywords to Include (Add Your Primary Keyword Plus Any Secondary Ones) 

By clicking the “Keywords to Include & Point of View & More” link, you’ll open up the advanced options for the video script outline generator.

It might seem odd to think about including keywords in your script outline, but it’s useful in a couple of ways:

• If you’re using the outline as the basis of your YouTube video description, or as part of a blog post announcing your video, you’ll want to have your primary keyword in there.
• To further improve your video SEO, you need to say your keyword at some point, so it can appear in the autogenerated transcript. This is taken into account in YouTube’s ranking algorithm.

You can type in as many keywords as you want, though if you add several, the tool may not be able to incorporate them all into your outline. Just separate your keywords with commas.

5. Point of View (Are You Focusing on Yourself or on the Viewer?)

Do you want to primarily talk about your experience (using the first person point of view, “I”), talk directly to your audience (the second person, “you”), or use a more detached and neutral point of view (the third person, “they”)?

The AI will make a sensible choice for you, based on your topic—but if you have a specific point of view you definitely want your script to use, just select it here.

6. Target Audience (Who is Your Video Aimed At?)

Who is your video aimed at? Let the AI know about your target audience and it’ll tailor your script to match.

For instance, a video aimed at experienced travelers with kids will cover different content to one aimed at first-time, nervous travelers.  

You can simply describe your audience in natural language—the AI will understand perfectly.

7. Additional Instructions (Give the AI Any Extra Requests or Constraints)

Do you have any special requests for the outline script generator?

The AI is automatically set to use a balanced level of creativity during the content creation process. This means that your script shouldn’t be overly predictable and bland … but it also shouldn’t be too wacky and unusual.
