Every Monday morning, RightBlogger sends you an email breaking down how your blog performed in Google Search over the past week. It surfaces what matters most so you know where to focus your time.

To get the report, you’ll need Google Search Console connected on at least one project and the weekly performance report turned on in your notification preferences. If you just connected Search Console, give it about a week before your first report arrives.

An example of the weekly blog performance report

What’s in the Report

The email starts with a performance snapshot showing sparkline charts for clicks and impressions over the past 14 days, along with your average position and click-through rate. All metrics include week-over-week changes so you can spot trends at a glance.

Below that, you’ll see your top page for the week and total keywords your site ranks for.

The report then highlights areas that need attention:

Pages To Keep An Eye On listing pages that moved down a few positions, so you know what needs a content refresh

Almost Page 1 showing keywords close to page one where a small push could make a difference

Low click-through flagging queries where people see your site in results but aren’t clicking, suggesting your titles or meta descriptions could use work

The report also includes This Week’s Note, a personalized observation about your data with a specific next step, and Content Ideas, blog post suggestions based on what your site covers and what it’s missing.

Turn It On or Off

You can manage the report from two places:

Account level: Go to Account > Notifications > Performance Report to turn the report on or off for your entire account

Project level: Toggle notifications per project in your project settings to control which projects are included

Per teammate: If the project has members, use Also send to in the project’s Notifications settings to pick who else receives this report. Members get nothing until you check the box, and each person can switch their own copy off.

Does RightBlogger Have a Free Trial? Yes, Here’s How to Get it

Site Scan crawls up to 500 public pages from the primary website on a project, filters out low-value routes, and turns useful page content into searchable project knowledge. RightBlogger can retrieve relevant parts of that index when a supported tool or feature uses project knowledge. Site Scan does not require MCP or a CMS connection.

Before You Start

Every site scan is attached to a project, and the project needs a primary website set before you can scan. That primary website is the URL RightBlogger crawls. You can set it during project creation, or edit it later in project settings.

One project maps to one website. If you run multiple sites, create a separate project for each.

Site Scan only needs access to your public pages. You do not need the RightBlogger WordPress plugin, an MCP connection, or Google Search Console to run it. Connect the WordPress plugin separately if you want the MCP Connector or Site Agent to read or edit live WordPress posts.

How to Start a Scan

Start the scan from the project that owns the website:

Open Project Settings for the site.

Find the Site scan section on the Settings tab.

Confirm the primary website, then click Scan website.

The website is locked to the project’s primary website. Change that address in project settings if it is wrong. Only the project owner can start a scan, and teammates see a note that the owner can set it up.

RightBlogger processes up to the first 500 pages returned by the crawler. It auto-indexes pages with useful body content and skips common low-value routes such as tag, category, author, search, cart, checkout, login, and paginated archive pages.

What Happens During the Scan

A scan moves through three states:

<ol class="wp-block...

How Site Scan Works (and How to Use It)

The RightBlogger MCP Connector puts your SEO data and content inside the AI tools you already use. Connect it once, and you can ask Claude, ChatGPT, or Cursor to pull your Google Search Console performance, research keywords from RightBlogger’s database, and read your published posts, all in plain language.

MCP stands for Model Context Protocol, an open standard that lets AI clients talk to outside tools and data. The RightBlogger MCP is a remote MCP server, so there is nothing to install and no API keys to manage. You sign in once with your RightBlogger account and your projects show up as tools.

The walkthrough below uses Google Search Console in Claude as the example. The connector URL and RightBlogger tools are the same across compatible clients, but each client has its own setup screens and approval controls.

What You Can Do With It

Once connected, you can ask your AI to work with your real, first-party RightBlogger data:

Query Search Console in plain language. “Which pages lost the most clicks last month?” or “Show my queries ranking between position 5 and 15.” No CSV exports or pivot tables.

Research keywords. Pull volume, CPC, and difficulty from RightBlogger’s keyword database without leaving the chat.

Make targeted edits. Ask for a find-and-replace in a post, a new title, or a fresh meta description. Body find-and-replace edits return an undo action. Title and SEO metadata changes use a freshness check to avoid overwriting a post that changed after it was read.

Read your posts. Search and read posts on a connected WordPress, Ghost, Webflow, Wix, Shopify, or Framer site, including available SEO metadata.

Look at your content and calendar. Search your RightBlogger drafts and generated articles, and see what is planned or scheduled.

Combine it all. Because your data and your AI are in the same place, you can ask things like “Find my pages losing clicks, then suggest which posts to refresh first.”

What the MCP Connector Does Not Do

MCP is a bridge between your AI client and RightBlogger. Connecting it does not crawl your website, import your posts, create a Site Scan, install a CMS integration, or give RightBlogger access it did not already have.

What you want to do

What RightBlogger needs

Analyze search performance

A Google Search Console connection on the project

Search, read, or update live WordPress posts

The RightBlogger WordPress plugin connected to that project

Find semantically related pages or use scanned site knowledge

A completed <a href="https://rightblogger...

How to Change Your Email Address

Connecting Google Search Console to a RightBlogger project brings your Google search data into RightBlogger: the clicks, impressions, rankings, and search queries for your site. That data powers your search reports, the weekly Blog Performance Report email, and the Site Agent’s suggestions.

Setup takes a few clicks. RightBlogger only asks for read-only access, and in most cases it finds and connects the right property for you.

Before You Start

You’ll need:

A RightBlogger project with your website URL saved. RightBlogger uses it to find the matching Search Console property.

A Google account with Owner, Full, or Restricted access to that site in Search Console.

To be the project owner. Teammates can see the connection, but only the owner can connect or change it.

If your site isn’t in Search Console yet, add and verify a property first. A domain property is the best choice when you can set one up, because it covers every version of your site, including http, https, www, and other subdomains.

How to Connect

1. Open your project

Go to your Projects page, open the project you want to connect, and scroll down to the Google Search Console section of its settings.

2. Connect your Google account

Click Connect Google account and sign in with the Google account that has access to your site in Search Console.

Google then lists what RightBlogger is asking for. Leave the permission to view your Search Console data checked and continue. If it’s unchecked, the connection stops with a “Permission denied” message and you’ll need to start again.

Already connected a Google account for another project? You won’t need to sign in again. The section shows that account right away, so skip to step 4.

3. Let RightBlogger find your property

When you come back from Google, RightBlogger checks that account’s Search Console properties for one that matches your project’s website. If it finds one, it connects it for you, picking the domain property first when you have one. How to Connect Your WordPress Site with RightBlogger

Forgot your RightBlogger password? You have three ways back in: reset it by email, sign in with a one-time password (no reset needed), or use Continue with Google if that’s how you originally signed up.
Reset Your Password by Email

The standard path takes about 60 seconds.

Go to rightblogger.com/forgot-password.

Enter the email address you used when you signed up.

Click Send password reset link.

Open the email from RightBlogger and click the reset link inside.

On the reset page, enter a new password and confirm it.

Click Reset password. You’ll land on the sign-in page, where you can sign in with your new password.

The reset link expires after one hour. If it expires before you use it, just request a new one from the same page.

The Reset Email Isn’t Arriving

If the email hasn’t shown up after a couple of minutes, here are the four most common reasons, in order of likelihood:

Check your spam, junk, and Promotions folders. Gmail in particular often files automated emails under Promotions instead of the main inbox.

You might be entering a different email than the one on your account. Make sure it’s the email you originally signed up with, not a different work or personal account.

Double-check for typos on the forgot-password page.

Some corporate email filters block transactional email. If yours is one of them, try a personal email address if you have access to one, or use the one-time password option below.

If you’ve waited five minutes and tried the steps above, jump to the next section and sign in without resetting at all.

Sign In With a One-Time Password

If you can’t get the reset email to arrive, or you just don’t want to set a new password, you can sign in without a password at all.

Go to rightblogger.com/signin.

Enter your email and leave the Password field empty.

Click Send One-Time Password.

Enter the 6-digit code from the email, and you’ll be signed in.

Once you’re back in your account, you can set a new password from your account settings if you want one going forward.

If you originally signed up by clicking Continue with Google, your RightBlogger account doesn’t have a password stored.

Just head to rightblogger.com/signin and click Continue with Google again. You’ll be signed straight in. You can also sign in with a one-time code sent to that email.

How to Switch to a Yearly Plan

Every RightBlogger project has its own AI memory. When you leave feedback on a piece of generated content, the AI uses that feedback to shape future content in the same project. This guide covers where to leave feedback, what makes a comment useful, and how the learning actually shows up in your next generation.

What “Learning” Means Inside a Project

Each project keeps a running set of preferences derived from your feedback. Think of it as a private style guide the AI reads before it writes anything new for that project. You don’t see this style guide directly. You shape it by leaving feedback on the content the AI produces, and the AI does the rest.

Two important things to know up front:

Feedback is scoped to one project. If you leave a comment in your “Coffee Blog” project, it won’t change how the AI writes in your “Real Estate Newsletter” project. Switch projects and the AI uses a different memory.

Comments matter more than thumbs alone. A bare thumbs-down doesn’t tell the AI why. The comment is what teaches it.

Where to Leave Feedback

Leaving feedback in content planner

There are four places to give feedback today:

The thumbs on any generated article. When you run a tool and see the finished content on desktop, the thumbs-up and thumbs-down icons sit next to the word count. Article tools open in the Editor tab, so switch to the Original tab to see them. Click either one and a feedback box opens where you can add a comment.

The Content Planner. On any scheduled post card in the planner, open the three-dot menu and pick Leave feedback. Pick Liked, Mixed, or Off, write a short note, and click Save feedback. The note is required here.

Single-post digest emails. One-click Liked / Mixed / Off opens the same feedback dialog for an optional note. That feedback trains the writer for the project.

Social posts. In the Social Planner, posts from your social automations have thumbs up and down in the post details and the review dialog, which open the same feedback dialog.

All four paths feed into the same project memory.

Write a Comment That Actually Teaches

The AI reads your comment alongside the actual content you reacted to, so it can spot the pattern you’re pointing at. The clearer you are, the better the rule it derives.

How to Teach the AI in Your RightBlogger Project

The AI Brand Monitor shows when ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, and Claude name your brand while answering questions related to your market. It also shows which competitors appear, what sources the AI cites, and how those results change over time.

Visibility and Share of Voice come from discovery prompts that do not already name your brand. Brand-specific questions still appear in the Prompts tab, but they do not inflate those headline percentages.

This guide covers how to set up CTA Links, what each setting does, and tips for getting the best results.

Description: This is the most important field for good placement. It tells the AI what your link is about so it can decide where in the article it fits best. Be specific. Instead of “my product page,” write something like “Book a scuba diving tour with our PADI-certified instructors” or “Sign up for our free blog writing toolkit.” The better your description, the more naturally the AI places your link.

How to Use SEO Reports in RightBlogger

Ever felt like you could squeeze a bit more juice out of RightBlogger’s tools? Well, you’re in for a treat. Today, we’re looking at a feature that’s been somewhat under the radar: the Additional Instructions field. Knowing how to use this well can seriously improve your content creation game and fine-tune your results.

So, let’s get right into it.

What Is the Additional Instructions Field?

Imagine having a magic wand that lets you fine-tune your content requests to your exact needs. That’s what the Additional Instructions field in RightBlogger is like.

Found under the advanced settings in most of our tools, this little box is where you can communicate directly with the AI, guiding it to produce exactly what you’re envisioning.

How Does It Work?

Let’s say you’re working on generating some catchy post titles about hiking. It’s a broad topic, right? By typing in “best hiking trails” in the blog post title tool and hitting generate, you’ll get a variety of titles.

But here’s where the magic happens: You realize you want titles focused on photography. You can write something like “My hiking blog is about hiking as a photographer” into the Additional Instructions field, and the AI refines its outputs to match your specific needs for a photographer audience.

This is just the tip of the iceberg of what you can do with the Additional Instructions field.

The Site Agent is a RightBlogger assistant that checks your connected site on a recurring schedule (about every three days on paid plans) and proposes specific, reviewable improvements to the content you have already published. Think of it as a content editor that works in the background: it studies your site, drafts precise changes, and either waits for your approval or applies the safe ones automatically, depending on the mode you choose.

What the Site Agent Does

On each run, the agent reviews your published content and looks for practical improvements, like adding helpful internal links between related posts, refreshing outdated details, and tightening on-page SEO. When your project is connected to Google Search Console, the agent also uses your real search data to focus on the pages where improvements matter most.

Every idea the agent has becomes a suggestion: a specific change to a specific post, with a plain-language description of what it does. Suggestions are small and focused. The agent proposes a handful of quality changes per run rather than rewriting your site in bulk.

Suggestions, Approvals, and Modes

Each audit creates specific suggestions first. What happens next depends on the approval mode you choose:

Ask approval: Review every change before it goes live. This is the fully hands-on option.

Smart mode (recommended): Safe edits, and edits that clearly match your tasks, apply automatically. Other changes wait for your approval.

Fully automatic: Every new change applies automatically. Existing pending suggestions stay queued until you review them.

Disabled: The agent is paused. No new changes until you turn it back on.

In every mode, suggestions also pass an automated quality check before you see them, so weak ideas get filtered out rather than filling up your review queue.

Having trouble connecting your WordPress site to RightBlogger? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered! This guide covers the most common connection problems and how to fix them when using the WordPress integration.

Important Note: RightBlogger works with self-hosted WordPress sites (WordPress.org) and may work with WordPress.com sites on a plugin-enabled paid plan. Free WordPress.com sites cannot install the RightBlogger plugin.

If you’re seeing an error that’s not listed below, please contact us any time, we’re happy to help!

Two ways to connect: You can connect WordPress to RightBlogger using either the RightBlogger WordPress plugin (get it on WordPress.org) or your WordPress username and an application password. Most of the errors below apply to application-password connections. If you are using the plugin and publishing fails with a 403 error, skip ahead to Cloudflare or a firewall is blocking RightBlogger, which is the most common cause.

Common Errors and Solutions

Here are some of the most frequent errors you might encounter with the WordPress integration, along with their causes and solutions:

Incorrect Username or Application Password

Sorry, you are not allowed to create posts as this user. - This is likely due to an incorrect username or application password.

What it usually means: There’s a problem with your username, email, or application password.

Possible Solutions:

Double-Check Your Credentials: Make absolutely sure you’ve entered your WordPress URL, username/email, and application password correctly. Typos happen!

Try Your Email Address: Instead of your username, try using the email address associated with your WordPress account.

Flush Permalinks: Go to your WordPress dashboard, navigate to
Settings > Permalinks
, and click “Save Changes” (you don’t need to actually change anything). This “flushes” the permalinks and can resolve some connection issues.

Check for Conflicting Plugins: Some plugins can interfere with WordPress’s built-in API. Temporarily deactivate any security or API-related plugins to see if that resolves the issue. (See “Known Plugin Conflicts” section below). We talk about this later in the guide.

You’ll also want to make sure your domain name matches your integration’s URL exactly. For example, if your site is “www.sitename.com”, it needs to include the “www.”
