Connecting Google Search Console to a RightBlogger project lets you see how your content performs in Google Search. Once connected, you’ll get search metrics directly in your project dashboard and can receive weekly blog performance reports by email.

Before You Start

You’ll need:

  • A RightBlogger project with your site URL saved
  • A Google account that has access to your site’s Search Console property

If you haven’t set up Search Console for your site yet, create a property in Google Search Console first, then come back here.

How to Connect

1. Open your project

Go to your Projects page and click into the project you want to connect.

2. Click “Connect Google Search Console”

You’ll see a Google Search Console card in your project settings. Click the connect button to start the process.

3. Sign in with Google

You’ll be redirected to Google’s sign-in page. Choose the Google account that has access to your site’s Search Console property. RightBlogger will ask for read-only permission to view your Search Console data. We can’t make changes to your site or Search Console settings.

4. Select your property

After signing in, you’ll see a list of Search Console properties available on your Google account. Pick the one that matches your project’s site URL.

Once selected, your project will start pulling in search performance data. It may take a few minutes for metrics to appear the first time.

What You Get

With Search Console connected, your project dashboard shows:

  • Clicks and impressions over time
  • Average position and click-through rate
  • Top performing pages and keywords

This data also powers the Blog Performance Report, a weekly email that breaks down your search performance and suggests what to work on next.

Switching or Disconnecting

To disconnect Search Console or switch to a different Google account or property, open your project and use the actions menu on the Google Search Console card. You can reconnect at any time.

If you have multiple Google accounts with Search Console access, you can connect different accounts to different projects.

Common Questions

I don’t see my site in the property list. What do I do?

Make sure you’re signing in with the Google account that owns or has access to the Search Console property. If your site uses a domain property (e.g., sc-domain:yoursite.com), that should appear in the list too.

What permissions does RightBlogger get?

Read-only access to your Search Console data. RightBlogger cannot modify your site, submit URLs, or change any Search Console settings.

Can I connect the same Search Console property to multiple projects?

Each project connects to one property at a time. If you need the same data in multiple projects, you can connect the same Google account and property to each one separately.

My data isn’t showing up after connecting.

Google Search Console data has a 2-3 day delay, so brand new properties may not have data yet. If you’ve had the property for a while and still see nothing, try disconnecting and reconnecting. If that doesn’t work, email us at [email protected].
